EastEnders fans reckon Max Branning is poised for an electrifying comeback to Albert Square, with perfect timing after his daughter Lauren just gave birth.
The rumour mill went into overdrive after Kate Oates, the show’s executive producer, hinted at a major return during a chat at the BAFTAS. In the reveal, Oates dropped hints, saying: “If you like a return, I don’t think you’re going to be disappointed, because there’s potentially one on the cards…
“There are some really big stories coming up and if it’s a return you’re after, then you might be interested in what’s on the horizon.” Fans have been dissecting every nugget of information, with many putting their bets on Max’s well-timed return.
Fans want Max Branning back on the show
While some chatter has included Ben Mitchell as a contender, not every fan is thrilled about another stint from him. Reddit users are particularly invested, with one user’s guess getting plenty of nods: “Kate saying potentially seems like it’s not 100% certain yet, but Max or Ben seem likely, Kate has always been a massive fan of Ben’s.”
