EastEnders stars booze in the street and look ready for bed as they leave wild wrap party for live episode
Fans were left stunned following the d.e.a.t.h of an iconic character last night
THE EastEnders stars went wild as they celebrated the live 40th anniversary episode.
On Thursday night EastEnders’ marked its milstone anniversary with a live broadcast.
And after the dramatic show the cast made sure to let their hair down.
Stars including Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter, and Jay Brown actor Jamie Borthwick looked ready for bed as they were snapped exciting the after-show bash.
Diane Parish, who had a starring role in the live episode as Denise Fox – could hardly keep her eyes open in the taxi.
And her on-screeen daughter Zaraah Abrahams [Chelsea Fox] looked sleepy as she caught a ride home.
But one person who wasn’t ready for the night to end was Felix Baker actor Matthew Morrison.
He looked in high spirits as he was snapped carrying his wine into the street.
Diane, 55, was involved in a show-first for EastEnders when fans got to decide if Denise ended up with Jack Branning [Scott Maslen] or Ravi Gulati [Aaron Thiara].
And – despite them having the power – viewers took to social media to rage when she ended up with Jack.
EastEnders fans were left devastated last night when it was confirmed Martin Fowler [James Bye] had died following the explosion at the Queen Vic.
The character of Martin has been a part of EastEnders since 1985 and James, 40, joined the cast in 2014.
Addressing his shock exit, he said: “Saying goodbye is not easy, but after 10 years at EastEnders and on the night of the shows epic 40th anniversary – the time felt right.
“It’s an honour to leave on a story of this magnitude.
“A huge thank you to all the fans of the show – EastEnders wouldn’t be what it is without you – and to the BBC and EastEnders team for trusting me with this role for so many years.”
