EastEnders stars congratulate Lacey Turner as she announces birth of third child

The Edgware-born actress has previously suffered two miscarriages

EastEnders star Lacey Turner has welcomed the birth of her third child with husband Matt Kay. The 36-year-old, who plays Stacey Slater in the BBC soap opera, announced the news with a picture of her and Kay in bed with the newborn and older children Dusty and Trilby.

In the post Lacey said: “Our hearts are full.” Many of her fellow soap stars congratulated her on the news, with Patsy Palmer, who plays Bianca Jackson in EastEnders, Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning, and Lorraine Stanley, who plays Karen Taylor, all replying to the post.

Palmer, 52, said: “Omg how beautiful is she? Congratulations to you all.” While Stanley, 48, added: “Congratulations to you all. What beautiful photos, big love and hugs.” Jossa, 32, shared a post of three hearts on the announcement.

The Edgware-born actress has previously suffered two miscarriages. Turner has played Stacey in the Walford-based soap since 2004, and has also featured in BBC One drama True Love, hospital period drama Call The Midwife, and starred as Molly Dawes in the BBC military drama Our Girl.

During her time on EastEnders Turner’s storylines have included Stacey’s struggles in the aftermath of sexual assault, with bipolar disorder, and an affair with father-in-law Max Branning.
