EastEnders has teased a car crash and a major character will d.i.e after they end up in the River Thames - and fans think they have worked out who is in danger

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for EastEnders’ Teddy Mitchell. The character’s recently had to cope with the aftermath of his ex-wife Nicola covering up the m.u.r.d.e.r of his son Harry’s ex, Shireen. Now, Harry’s given him the cold shoulder and moved in with Billy and Honey.
But that’s not the only bombshell waiting to drop – Teddy’s still in the dark about not being the biological dad of his youngest, Barney. The truth is, Zack’s the real father.
Spoilers reveal the secret’s about to spill next week, leaving fans on edge, especially after a trailer hinted at a car crash with the ominous question: “Who’s in danger?”

New spoilers show Teddy’s right in the thick of it, along with a bunch of other characters, all in their cars, moments before the crash. One vehicle takes a d.e.a.d.l.y plunge off a bridge and into the water, but the aftermath remains a closely guarded secret, reports the Mirror.
Before the accident, the truth about Barney’s parentage will finally be out. The Mitchells then discover Zack’s plan to snatch Barney, prompting Harry to take drastic action – locking Zack in his car boot.
Teddy’s worried his son will take things too far and, spotting Billy taking Honey and Nigel to the cinema, he intervenes. He begs them to tail Harry and save Zack before it’s too late.
One car does take a fatal detour into the river, but it’s still anyone’s guess which one. Soap fans have flocked to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to share their theories, with many suspecting Teddy is in peril.

A clued-up viewer remarked: “Teddy’s actor has a new project coming up on his IMBD. It’d be a shame to lose him so early in the game.”
Roland Manookian, who plays Teddy, has the upcoming drama The Island Apes listed on his IMBD page, but this doesn’t necessarily spell the end of his time on the soap.
Another eagle-eyed fan speculated: “Teddy – this would make the most sense as Zach could bond with Barney Nicola could try to blame Shireen’s d.e.a.t.h on him and it would send Harry into a spiral.”
Despite Roland Manookian’s new role in The Island Apes being noted on his IMBD, there’s no concrete evidence that he’ll be leaving the soap.
A different viewer expressed: “I think Teddy is going to d.i.e – only because I want Nicola to go back to prison so that Harry and Shireen can get justice.”
One fan hopes Zack will survive, saying: “Meanwhile, I don’t want Zack to d.i.e as Sharon can’t lose another family member so soon after Martin and Zack deserves a new direction,” while another concurred: “I think Teddy is definitely a goner #EastEnders.”
