EastEnders villain ‘returns from the d.e.a.d’ as Bianca is haunted by twisted k.i.l.l.e.r

EastEnders viewers were left in shock on Monday evening after a villain made a surprise appearance on the BBC soap

EastEnders fans were left reeling on Monday evening (March 3) when Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) made an unexpected return, haunting Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer).

Since November 2024, Bianca has been living in fear of Reiss, who held her captive for months after revealing that he m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d his wife, Debbie, and allowed a pregnant Sonia Jackson (Natalie Cassidy) to shoulder the blame.

After managing to escape and expose his crimes, Reiss fled only to resurface in Albert Square, delivering a card to Sonia and facing off with Bianca once again.

Attempting to make another getaway from Walford, Reiss’ car crashed into The Queen Vic when Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) pushed Ian (Adam Woodyatt) into the road.

The crash resulted in an explosion at the pub. Despite initially surviving the blast, Reiss returned to the wreckage to find Sonia but met his end when a bathtub fell on him just as his former fiancee went into labour with their child, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Martin Fowler (James Bye) also tragically lost his life in The Vic on February 20, succumbing to a cardiac arrest after being crushed by a metal beam, despite paramedics’ best efforts to save him.

On Thursday (February 27), Bianca was informed by the coroner that Reiss’ body was ready for release, triggering a panic attack.

‌

She found solace in Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp), who helped her navigate through her distressing ordeal and explained that she was experiencing PTSD.

Bianca’s world continued to spiral out of control in the latest episode from Albert Square, with the gossip mill churning out her name at the cafe. Mo Harris (portrayed by Laila Morse) didn’t hold back, blaming Bianca as the cause behind Martin’s untimely demise.

‌

The poor woman was shaken to her core when she got back and had a gut-wrenching panic attack. Her terror peaked when the front door began shaking, revealing a haunting visage of Reiss before it turned out to be George Knight (played by Colin Salmon).

However, EastEnders fans were over the moon at the glimpse of Reiss, with one X user posting: “Obsessed with the split second of Reiss #EastEnders.”

Another fan said, “Oh god, poor Bianca thought she saw Reiss coming through the door when it was George #EastEnders.”

Meanwhile, someone else tweeted, “Omg, what was that Reiss jump scare? #Eastenders.” Offering their piece of advice, another chimed in, “Just find another bathtub in case Ghost Reiss comes back, #EastEnders.”

Speculations are buzzing as another viewer theorised, “Why do I feel like Reiss isn’t actually d.e.a.d and that he’ll return from the d.e.a.d at a later date and try to take Julia? #EastEnders?”
