Eerie new pics show EastEnders’ Queen Vic after huge explosion & there’s just one sign blast ever happened
Can you spot the one remaining reminder of the k.i.l.l.e.r blast?
ROADSIDE tributes are the only signs of the blast that tore through the Queen Vic.
The pub blew up, k.i.l.l.i.n.g Martin Fowler, in EastEnders’ 40th anniversary episode last month.
Martin, played by James Bye, lay dying in the arms of his ex-wife.
The blast also left Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) at d.e.a.t.h.’s door — and seeing visions of late mum Angie Watts, played by Anita Dobson.
But other than flowers on Albert Square, all evidence of the explosion is gone.
All the pavements and streets had been swept clean of the contents of the pub which were blown through the windows, which appear to have been replaced.
At the time, fans were left horrified as the huge explosion ripped through the square.
In shock scenes the iconic Queen Vic pub went up in flames – leaving the fate of many characters unknown.
The explosion was one of the soap’s most sensational storylines yet – and speculation over who would perish in the fire was rife.
EastEnders’ dramatic anniversary week also featured a special live episode.
