Emmerdale airs major clue that could expose John Sugden as Nate Robinson’s k.i.l.l.e.r

Emmerdale viewers were left in tears on Thursday night as Cain Dingle was told his son Nate Robinson had been found d.e.a.d

Emmerdale’s Thursday episode (June 5) delivered a gut-wrenching moment for Cain Dingle as he discovered his son Nate Robinson was d.e.a.d.

Cain, who had plans to spend time with his wife Moira (Natalie J Robb), was dealt a devastating blow when a police detective broke the news that Nate’s (Jurell Carter) body had been found in a lake, where it had lain for nine months.

Elsewhere in the village, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) was left reeling from the revelation that her husband wasn’t working in Shetland as she believed, but had instead met a tragic end.

Overcome with emotion, Tracy didn’t hesitate to tell the detective about Cain’s violent outburst towards Nate, admitting he had “wished he was d.e.a.d” shortly before Nate vanished.

With the confirmation that the body in the lake was indeed Nate, Cain found himself with no time to mourn as he was quickly taken in for questioning by the police, reports Belfast Live.

In a state of shock, Cain omitted telling the police about the altercation he had with his son the day before Nate was last seen, casting suspicion on himself.

However, viewers are aware that John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) is the true culprit behind Nate’s m.u.r.d.e.r.

During his interrogation, Cain recounted an attempt to contact Nate at the end of April that “proves” he wasn’t the k.i.l.l.e.r.

He told the detectives, “His phone, I called him a few weeks ago on his mobile and someone answered,” adding, “I don’t know, they didn’t say anything. But whoever’s done this, they were listening to his messages.”

After presenting a call log from his phone as evidence, the village’s notorious troublemaker exclaimed: “Why would I call him if I knew he was d.e.a.d? Now that you’ve got some actual evidence, can you let me go?”.
