Emmerdale Amit death ‘sealed’ after Rishi confession – but it’s not Jai who kills him

Emmerdale fans believe a familiar face will murder Amit after his killer confession – but not Jai.
Last year, Rishi (Bhasker Patel) was found dead at the bottom of the stairs on Jai (Chris Bisson) and Laurel’s (Charlotte Bellamy) wedding day. His death came shortly after Jai discovered his biological father was Rishi’s brother Amit (Anil Goutam).
The coroner confirmed Rishi’s death was caused by an accidental fall, but fans were certain there was more to it. It was later revealed that Amit was there when Rishi fell down
During Tuesday’s episode (February 20) of the ITV soap, Amit presented Jai and Suni ((Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) with his will, leaving his share of The Hop to both of them. Afterwards, Amit’s dark secret was revealed.
The solicitor voiced hopes of this business venture turning out more successful than Amit’s previous ones, adding: “And your recent inheritance from uncle Ravi helped pay for it.”
“It was a blessing,” Amit responded. “Everything’s as I wanted it and lucky for me I didn’t have to share my inheritance with Rishi.” His solicitor made the chilling comment: “Massively convenient him dying like that…” before Amit sarcastically branded his brother’s death a “tragedy”.
“Poor Rishi, such a tragedy,” the businessman said. “Still it got me out of a bind, every cloud…” With Amit suggesting he had a deeper role to play in Rishi’s death, it is likely his dark secret will come out at some point – and Jai will no doubt want revenge.
But he might not be the only one. On Reddit, one fan suggested that Laurel could kill Amit to make him pay for the pain he’s caused Jai. One wrote: “Wouldn’t be surprised if Jai kills Amit when he finds out he killed Rishi.” To which another responded: “Jai won’t get his hands dirty. Laurel will probably end up doing it.”
Daily Star also quizzed artificial intelligence ‘creative’ tool Bard AI to see whether Lauren could become a murderer. The programme responded: “There will be an emotional impact of Amit’s actions.
“But it remains determined whether Laurel seeks justice through legal means or consider a more personal confrontation. Emmerdale is known for its dramatic twists and turns. Laurel turning out to be a killer is something no one would see coming.”
