Emmerdale has cast acclaimed TV star Christine Tremarco as part of a new storyline for Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

Will is currently enjoying married life with Kim Tate (Claire King), but the arrival of Rose, played by Christine, is sure to cause a stir.

Rose is well known to Will, and has been described as a bolshy and boisterous character.

Having lived in Benidorm, Rose is set to arrive in the Emmerdale village later this month, and is set to stir things up when Will fails to mention her to Kim.

Speaking about her exciting new role, Christine said she is ‘thrilled to be joining Emmerdale’.

‘To be working with such a wonderful cast and crew along with the brilliant writing and production team is an absolute joy!’ She added.

In terms of what viewers can expect from her character, Christine teased: ‘Rose is so much fun to play. She is free spirited, boisterous and totally mischievous with a steely edge and a big heart.’

Christine has had huge success in her TV career, appearing in projects such as The Responder, Safe House, Waterloo Road and Casualty.

Talking about welcoming her to the Dales, producer Laura Shaw said: ‘We are massively delighted to welcome Christine Tremarco to the Emmerdale Family.

‘Christine brings a wealth of experience and talent and playing the character of Rose, a true free spirit with an exuberant outlook on life, she certainly promises to cause a real storm for some of our villagers.’

We know that Rose is set to cause some trouble among the villagers, but exactly what that will entail remains to be seen…
