Emmerdale character apologises for role in the d.e.a.t.h of major fan-favourite
An Emmerdale character has apologised for their role in the d.e.a.t.h of a much-loved villager over five years ago.
Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) offered to help Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh) out in tonight’s episode when Frankie’s nursery was closed.
Amy revealed how much she had enjoyed looking after Frankie, and Tracy soon took her up on the offer.
Spending time with Frankie left Amy keen to have a child of her own, and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) encouraged her to talk to partner Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).
That wasn’t the only thing that spending time with Frankie inspired, however, as when Amy dropped her home she felt the urge to apologise to Tracy for her role in her dad’s d.e.a.t.h.
Viewers may remember that Frank Clayton was k.i.l.l.e.d in a fire at the factory, with the villagers suspecting that there had been foul play involved.
In reality, the fire had been started by Amy and mum Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) earlier that day, when they tampered with CCTV to hide the fact that Kerry had stolen charity money from the safe.
Frank had rushed into the burning building to save Tracy, and after bringing her out, headed back in to retrieve the engagement ring he planned on using to propose to Megan Macey.
However, as he emerged from the building, an explosion sent him flying and ultimately k.i.l.l.e.d him.
When the charity money was found missing, the villagers suspected Frank had taken it, with only Tracy believing him to be innocent.
