Emmerdale character ‘returns from the d.e.a.d’ to ‘seal’ icon’s exit after 36 years
Emmerdale has aired a major twist that has left Dawn Taylor in shock as the details surrounding her dad Will's d.e.a.t.h start to unfold following his sudden exit at Christmas
Emmerdale has aired a surprise twist as Will Taylor (played by Dean Andrews) returned to deliver a bombshell following his d.e.a.t.h at Christmas.
Will suffered a fatal heart a.t.t.a.c.k on Christmas Day following a furious row with his wife Kim Tate (Claire King). On Boxing Day, Will’s d.e.a.t.h was confirmed despite attempts to save him leaving his family heartbroken.
During the latest trip to the village (January 6), which is available to watch now on ITVX, Will made an appearance via a pre-recorded video message left behind for his daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley).
The episode kicked off with heartbroken Dawn mourning the loss of her dad as she continued to blame Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) for his d.e.a.t.h.
But distraught Dawn was forced to reconsider when the post-mortem results were confirmed by the coroner.
The report stated that Will had d.i.e.d of natural causes, ruling out any suspicion of foul play.
As she looked through Will’s belongings, including items given to her by Will’s close pal Jimmy King (Nick Miles), Dawn was joined by Kim.
The pair made a toast to Will as Dawn wiped away her tears away from her face.
But Dawn was later left in shock when she found a USB stick among Will’s belongings.
As her name was printed on the stick, Dawn wasted no time in plugging it into her laptop to play the video and her dad Will popped up.
Speaking to the camera, Will said: “Dawn, I hope it’s you that’s watching and not someone else.
“But if you are, then that means that I’m d.e.a.d. It also means that Kim did it.”
The message left Dawn speechless as she pondered what her dad had told her.
Will had recorded the bombshell following his bitter feud with Kim last year where he was blackmailed.
But what will Dawn with the message? Will she use it as evidence to bring down Kim Tate once and for all?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
