Emmerdale confirms character comeuppance as major legend returns in 18 pictures

Emmerdale lines up an emotional week for the residents of the village, with heartbreak, betrayal and the return of a former favourite on the cards, as confirmed in Metro’s new picture gallery.

Yes, that’s right, sneak a peek of what’s to come in the ITV soap with 18 brand new pictures.

The long-running serial welcomes back a familiar face in the form of Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton), who – in typical Kerry fashion – brings with her chaos aplenty as she arrives home in a police car!

And speaking of the police, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is left relieved when he learns that no charges are being pressed against Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) over the stabbing incident.

With this unsettling chapter seemingly at an end, Mack goes to hug Charity, who flinches, struggling to come to terms with the death of evil abuser Damon ‘Harry’ Harris (Robert Beck).

Harry, as viewers know, was killed during a scuffle with Charity, who was desperately trying to protect her beloved husband Mack, who had been brutally assaulted by the vile gangster.

Mack has been worried sick about Charity in the aftermath and next week he’s left feeling hopeful when she says that he can bring the kids over.

Afterwards, she hesitates to say how she feels to Mack but he completely understands and two lovers separately sense that progress has been made.

Elsewhere, Caleb Milligan (William Ash) remains public enemy number one following his affair with Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh), with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) still keen on revenge as Kim Tate (Claire King) weighs up whether or not to help.

Ruby, however, isn’t the only one out for revenge as Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) tackles his uncle, telling him that he wants bought out of the business. When Caleb refuses, the former farmhand turns to Cain and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) for help.
