Emotions run high in Emmerdale next week, as confirmed in my new spoilers and pictures, with a number of devastating funerals on the cards following the limo crash.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, the crash in question claimed the lives of Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson).
The funerals of Leyla and Amy take place next week, on the very same day, with Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Matty Barton (Ash Palmiscano) struggling to come to terms with the loss of their loved ones.
Sarha Sugden (Katie Hill) does what she can to support Jacob, who continues to push her away and there’s a shock in store for her when she discovers that she is pregnant.
How will grieving Jacob react to the news?
That remains to be seen. Heartache, meanwhile, reigns supreme, with Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) devastated in the wake of Suzy’s untimely d.e.a.t.h as she seeks comfort in a hug from Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson).
Mary, however, is harbouring a secret it seems, with a flashback to the day of the limo crash set to reveal the real reason her guilt.
Elsewhere in the village during the week in question, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) are at odds once again, with April coming to believe that her dad still doesn’t trust her.
Later in the week, she has an emotional reunion with Dylan (Fred Kettle), the boy who helped her while she was living on the streets.
And finally, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) makes a big decision as he tells Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) of his intention to leave the village. But will he follow through?
It’s going to be an intense week in the Dales!
