Emmerdale Dylan’s true identity ‘revealed’ in Dingle DNA twist – and April will be floored
Emmerdale fans have predicted a Dingle DNA twist as they ‘work out’ Dylan’s true identity
Emmerdale fans have ‘worked out’ the true identity of April Windsor’s homeless friend Dylan – and he has a major link to the Dales.
Teenager April (Amelia Flanagan) went missing from the famous village back on Christmas Day, following a row with her dad Marlon (Mark Charnock). She was last seen getting in a strange car driven by a mysterious individual.
And this week, the soap aired a special episode that focused on everything she had been through since fleeing the Dales. After sleeping rough in Leeds city centre, April ended up befriending a group of homeless people including Dylan (Fred Kettle).
Dylan then brought April to a derelict building where his close friend Becca (Becca Ashton) was also staying – and the two took April under their wing. What’s more, in a huge twist, it was also revealed that April was pregnant.
Throughout the episode, viewers got to see what April endured while sleeping rough – including witnessing the stabbing of Becca who chased after a thief who took their money.
Also, knowing she was pregnant, Dylan ensured he would look after April – with him appearing to make money for them through sex work. Following Becca’s death though, Dylan was left broken, turning to d.r.u.g.s to numb his pain.
And unfortunately, the house that Dylan and April were sleeping in was eventually raided by police. Dylan then got arrested, while April managed to make an escape – but in a harrowing twist, sʜᴇ ɢᴀᴠᴇ ʙɪʀᴛʜ ᴛᴏ ᴀ sᴛɪʟʟʙᴏʀɴ ʙᴀʙʏ ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ ᴏɴ ɪɴ ᴀ ᴘᴜʙʟɪᴄ ᴛᴏɪʟᴇᴛ.
Now, fans are convinced they know the true identity of Dylan – and he has a major link to the Dales. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person penned: “I wonder what the back story of the homeless lad who helped April? Is he going to be a one episode person?”
In the comments section, other fans suggested a shock DNA twist theory: that Dylan could be soap legend Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) long-lost son. They wrote: “They should bring him in as a regular character… he could turn out to be Cain Dingle’s secret son.”
Someone else agreed: “I’d love this! We all know Cain played the field years ago.” A third chimed in: “He could be someone’s son in the village like Cain he has children popping up a lot.” Another fan also wrote: “I hope they bring him in to help support April, she mentioned Becca would want her to look after him so maybe that could be a storyline they could do where she goes back for him and brings him to the Dales.”
