Emmerdale fans are convinced another villager is set to d.i.e following the revelation of a huge secret.

Last week, Steph Milligan (Georgia Jay) finally found out about her mother Ruby’s (Beth Cordingly) abuse and that her grandfather Anthony (Nicholas Day) is, in actual fact, her father in a harrowing twist.

During Monday’s episode of the ITV soap (March 17), there was panic when Steph was missing and unreachable sparking fear among Ruby and Caleb Milligan (William Ash) who worried how their daughter is dealing with the traumatic news.

Ruby suddenly worked out where Steph could be and headed to find her at Anthony’s burial spot in the woods. She reassured her daughter that they would work through this trauma together, but Steph gathered the conspirators involved in Anthony’s d.e.a.t.h to share her grand plan.

Caleb joined his siblings Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) along with nephew Aaron (Danny Miller) and his partner John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) as they waited for Steph to return and make an announcement.

While the family were left sympathising for Steph, it was John who appeared to be rattled that she had found out the truth.

“Well, she should have never found out,” he exclaimed in a harsh tone before referring to Steph as an “added complication,” leaving Chas slightly annoyed.

Moments later, Steph arrived and shared her plans to inform the police that she had heard from Anthony, and he is currently living in Spain, in hopes of them shutting his missing person’s case.

“That’s not a good idea,” Cain explained before the rest of the group also expressed their concerns about Steph talking to the police. John also suggested that they all keep quiet about Anthony being d.e.a.d.

However, Emmerdale fans have been left concerned over John’s behaviour towards Steph, with some predicting he will m.u.r.d.e.r her so she doesn’t speak about Anthony again.

Fans of the ITV soap have been left speculating John is a serial k.i.l.l.e.r after he disposed of Anthony’s body, and are also accusing him of k.i.l.l.i.n.g Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) who is thought to be submerged in the frozen lake.

Taking to Facebook, one person wrote: “Hmmm soooo Steph’s gone away has she? Or has John sent her for a dip in the lake!”

A second replied: “I have to say if I were John, I would be very worried about her knowing, well…everything. I can’t wait for next week. Emmerdale isn’t on Friday next week, so we will have an hour on Tuesday. Wheeoooo love the hour episodes.”

A third chimed in: “I don’t trust John very suss!! Surely someone got twig on about him soon!”, while another asked: “How many b.o.d.i.e.s will be in the lake mmmm I wonder.”

“John did say it’s a big mistake letting Steph know!”, exclaimed one viewer as another suggested: “If John is a Mass m.u.r.d.e.r.e.r, they are dropping into his hands one at a time.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
