Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ after 10 years as fans ‘spot’ worrying health clue
Emmerdale viewers have been left seriously concerned for one much-loved villager
Emmerdale fans have been left concerned for Liam Cavanagh after he suffered another blow to the head during a violent attack conducted by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).
On Friday (April 25), Liam (Jonny McPherson) sustained an injury to his head when killer John came up behind him and hit him with a plank of wood.
John wasn’t planning on hitting Liam; it was simply a case of him being at the wrong location at the wrong time. The violent ex-soldier attempted to get revenge on Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) for meddling in his business but knocked Liam out by mistake.
Despite the brutal attack not going to plan, John still managed to worm his way out of a difficult situation with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), as he emerged the hero for helping to save Liam.
As word about Liam’s attack spread around the village, John jumped up and played the hero again, encouraging Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Aaron to give him space while he helped the GP.
In the aftermath, Chas immediately assumed that Ella Forster (Paula Lane) was responsible for the brutal assault that could have been deadly.
Liam’s latest attack comes after he sustained a serious head injury during the limo crash that killed three others on Valentine’s Day.
In April, Liam was also hit over the head by his ex-girlfriend, Ella Forster (Paula Lane), following an argument.
The character was shown bleeding and didn’t want to get medical help, with his injury covered up by a plaster.
Liam’s latest head injury, caused by John, is his third in three months, sparking fear among Emmerdale viewers that Liam is heading for a tragic death.
Taking to Facebook, one viewer explained: “So in the past six months Liam has had three serious head injuries, how on earth is he still alive and healthy after all these traumas.”
They added: “Any other person would’ve had a haemorrhage or something similar or even worse been dead, and yet Liam is perfectly fine with not even a broken skull.”
A second replied: “They may have him die on his and Chas’ wedding day?”, while a third chimed in: “Probably all leading up to a life or death situation for Liam.”
“I’ve been thinking that too. And practice medicine full time. It’s not like he’s going back to an office job where it doesn’t really matter if he makes a mistake”, added one fan.
While another pointed out: “It’s most likely future storyline.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
