Emmerdale exit ‘sealed’ after 27 years as viewers spot sinister twist
Is this the end for one much-loved Dingle?
Emmerdale viewers have been left fearing for Belle Dingle’s life as her estranged husband Tom King made a shock return on Tuesday (February 11).
Violent abuser Tom (James Chase) staged an unexpected comeback to the ITV as he was seen in his prison cell just shortly after being notified that Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) had commenced divorce proceedings.
As fans will know, former vet Tom is currently serving a a three-year sentence after being found guilty of domestic abuse and coercive control towards wife Belle. Tom inflicted months of torment and violence on Belle leaving her a broken woman, but as she tries to re-build her life it appears her husband isn’t letting go just yet.
With the one year anniversary since their wedding approaching, Belle decided it was time to get the ball rolling on the divorce so that she could move forward in life.
The events planner, however, knew full well that Tom would make things difficult for her and thus she spoke with her solicitor, who encouraged her to visit him in prison to speed things along.
Meanwhile, Tom was up to his usual conniving tricks, and tried to manipulate the situation to his advantage. While clutching a bible he told the prison chaplain that he could make things right with Belle if she pays him a visit, hoping the chaplain would put in a good word for him.
It didn’t take Tom long to show his true colours and, when the situation wasn’t going as he intended, he became nasty and aggressive towards the chaplain.
However, when he learned that Belle was in fact planning on coming to see him Tom soon switched on the charm. But Emmerdale viewers think he is planning to kill Belle during the visit and is concealing a knife.
Taking to social media, one person wrote: “My husband, who usually doesn’t comment about the soaps just watched Tom’s last scene and announced he’s gonna kill her, he’s got a hidden knife! I’m afraid my dear husband is correct.”
A second added: “He’s going to take her hostage now or escape”, while a third echoed: “Tom to take Belle hostage (storyline like Corrie)? #Emmerdale.”
“I’ve got a bad feeling about Belle going to see Tom who has nothing to lose & I wouldn’t put it past him attacking Belle or taking her hostage. #Emmerdale”, added another.
While another urged: “Nah Belle, take someone with you. #emmerdale.”
