Emmerdale fans can’t clucking believe the size of Caleb’s chicken
Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and Ruby’s (Beth Cordingly) return to the Emmerdale village after their holiday wasn’t exactly peaceful and stress free. But while they were worrying about a fire at Caleb’s business, fans of the ITV soap were far too focused on a surprising scene in the pub.
The couple had been away in Bali after Nicky’s (Lewis Cope) departure and Ethan’s (Emile John) sudden death after his hit and run. Wanting to reconnect, Ruby and Caleb thought relaxing on a sunny beach would be the perfect option.
As they returned home and received news about the fire at the dealership, Caleb was questioned by the police shortly after. They asked about Caleb’s whereabouts when the fire took place, just in case he had started it himself as a potential insurance claim.
A little while later, Caleb and Ruby were in the pub discussing their stressful situation. As they pondered over the possibility of Kim Tate (Claire King) being responsible, Emmerdale fans were drawn to what the couple were eating.
In particular, Caleb’s very large chicken.
While Ruby enjoyed a salad, Caleb staggered us all by tucking into a full-sized roast chicken, with only some chips as a side.
And yes, he’d be in desperate need of a hen-kerchief after eating all of that!
Taking to social media, Emmerdale audience members of course had to express their thoughts on Caleb’s meal. If this is a ‘light lunch’, we’d love to see his idea of a dinner!
‘Is Caleb eating a whole chicken?’, one fan wondered.
Clearly taken aback by the sight, this user wrote: ‘Caleb ordering a full chicken to himself 😂😳 #Emmerdale’
Ruby and Caleb will no doubt be working around-the-cluck to find substantial proof Caleb didn’t deliberately start the fire himself – but will they be successful?
We know future episodes of the ITV soap will explore Ruby and Caleb’s background more, as a face from their past arrives with many secrets – obviously.
‘We’ve got Caleb and Ruby, who’ve landed in the village and had a real impact but we don’t know much about them,’ producer Sophie Roper began, as she gave us the run down of what to expect from the eponymous village during her tenure.
‘There’s lots in terms of their history, particularly Ruby’s, that is yet unknown. We’re going to see a bit of a blast from their past come back and really give us more about this complicated relationship between husband and wife and the complicated family dynamics we have there.
‘So lots to stay tuned for in terms of Caleb and Ruby and their wider story.’
