Emmerdale fans disgusted as John Sugden’s next victim ‘revealed’ in horror child twist
Emmerdale viewers are convinced they know who John Sugden will target next in the village - and it's bad news for Victoria Sugden

Emmerdale seems to have dropped a hint about the next target of John Sugden in the village.
John (played by Oliver Farnworth) made his first appearance last year, arriving in the Dales as the alleged long-lost son of Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby). He quickly left a mark on the locals.
The enigmatic doctor has since found his place in the village, getting acquainted with his distant family members – including his sister Victoria (Isabel Hodgins). He also got engaged to Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
However, not much is known about John’s past, except for his supposed stint in the army a few years back. This week in the Dales, Emmerdale unveiled a significant twist about John, allowing viewers to finally understand what he’s been up to over the past year.
In Thursday’s episode (April 10), the soap aired several flashbacks – one of which confirmed that he was behind the death of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), reports Leicestershire Live.
But there’s more – the soap also revealed that John was the mastermind behind setting up Ella Forster (Paula Lane) and the person who drugged his future mother-in-law Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) last month.
In another plot twist, John poisoned Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), who has a severe nut allergy, just so he could save him and be hailed a hero by the villagers.
However, fans now believe the soap has given a clue about John’s next victim – and it doesn’t look good for Victoria.
Fans have been sharing their unease online, especially after a scene where John suggested he might look after Victoria’s son Harry. This sparked a fearful theory among viewers.
A concerned fan voiced trepidations on the Emmerdale Facebook fan page, stating: “Really hope John isn’t going to do something to Victoria’s child. Offering to babysit is a bit of a giveaway…” Many others echoed the sentiment, fearing what might happen next on the soap.
One viewer noted: “I noticed that as well,” expressing similar suspicions raised by John’s proposal. The apprehension only grew within the fan community as another fan commented: “Probably but if he does that would be taking it way too far!” Meanwhile, another added firmly: “How vile, can’t wait until he’s found out!” indicating a collective desire for resolution in this tense storyline.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
