Viewers tuning into Emmerdale were left questioning the soap future of one character on the ITV soap.
A third incident in just a matter of months that left said character badly injured yet again sparked fears that a d.e.a.t.h could air. Others were simply confused over something that appears to keep happening to same character, and his very similar reaction every single time despite being a doctor.
Liam Cavanagh has sustained a head injury three times this year alone. Fans are now wondering how he seems to be okay given he had hit his head pretty badly on three separate occasions, weeks apart.
It’s left them wondering if the character could be being axed, and of he’s set to be k.i.l.l.e.d off. In February the character almost d.i.e.d after hitting his head in the limo crash, which claimed the lives of three other characters.
He was rushed to hospital but survived, having collapsed due to his injuries. Then in April, Liam fell over and hit his head during a showdown with his ex Ella Forster.
He was shown bleeding, while he was reluctant to seek medical attention while his injury was soon covered up with a plaster. So when spoilers revealed Liam would suffer another blow to the head this week, fans were understandably confused and concerned.

Friday’s episode of the ITV soap saw Liam attacked by John Sugden in a case of mistaken identity. John slammed him over the head with a large piece of wood, intending to harm if not k.i.l.l Mackenzie Boyd.
Medic John then feigned surprise over the incident and agreed to check Liam over. Once again he’d hit his head and was bleeding, but he refused to go to the hospital to be checked over.
While his head was hurting and bleeding, he didn’t want to go to the hospital and said he was fine. The fact Liam had hurt his head badly yet again, for a third time, and was refusing medical attention, left fans concerned.
They were unsure how someone could be injured so many times and not have some sort of consequence. They also could not understand why the soap’s writers kept having Liam hit his head, especially so close together.

It left fans calling for Liam to be checked over, with some fearing a health plot could be on the way. One viewer even speculated it would lead to the character being axed from the soap.
A fan posted online: “These blows to the head every month for Liam can’t be healthy,” as another said: “I have a feeling the producers don’t want Liam in the show anymore.” A third commented: “How has Liam not suffered any serious trauma after having so many head injuries?” as a fourth wrote: “Erm Liam need to go to hospital considering it’s third injury to the head.”
