Emmerdale fans plead ‘please don’t’ after Marlon’s latest April blunder
Marlon has potentially made things worse for his relationship with April after his latest tactic
Emmerdale fans made a plea as they expressed “please don’t” to Marlon Dingle after he decided to plant a location tracker on April.
As Tuesday’s (April 1) episode aired, Marlon and April were still struggling to see eye to eye after Marlon shared with his daughter his most recent act of betrayal after he planted the ketamine on Dylan, and then hid a letter from him.
April has had a tumultuous year after she went missing from her family home on Christmas Day. She was later found in the hospital, but Marlon and Rhona were unaware of the trauma she had gone through.
During a special episode that traced April’s steps, it was revealed that she was unexpectedly pregnant and had fled the village due to family problems at home.
Her promise of accommodation from friends had fallen through, and so she ended up sleeping rough on the streets of Leeds.
After being approached by an opportunistic man, another runaway called Dylan stepped in to help her. Later, he introduced her to his friend Rebecca who acted as April’s mentor.
Unfortunately, Rebecca was later stabbed after their begging money was stolen. April found herself alone as Dylan was arrested and she suffered from a stillbirth just moments later.
The teen has been struggling to adjust to normal life back in the village, particularly as Marlon has struggled to find the right away to act around her.
After Dylan checked into rehab to fight his drug addiction, Marlon has consistently made April trust him less and less as he tries to help her.
At the end of Tuesday’s instalment, Rhona yelled at the pair of them to try and understand each other and rebuild their trust to which they agreed.
However, before the credits rolled Marlon was seen with a small tracking device which he connected to his phone and placed in April’s coat pocket.
Fans were quick to take to social media and share their dismay at Marlon’s actions. On X (formerly known as Twitter), @kylieskaty wrote: “Marlon is so overbearing.”
@claireh5611 added: “God no Marlon!” as @ElaineWharton1 joked: “Marlon’s the ultimate April fool”. Another viewer, @Theatreluvvie12 pleaded: “Oh Marlon please don’t track her.”
