Emmerdale fans realise whose funeral Cain Dingle attends – but it’s ‘not Nate’
Emmerdale fans have predicted whose funeral it is in the future scene, as shown in a flashforward on the ITV soap, with Cain Dingle seen crying at a graveside
There could be another d.e.a.t.h tragedy on Emmerdale after fans made a realisation about a looming funeral.
Back in December, there were five flashfowards to the future on the ITV soap. They gave hints to 2025, and one scene showed Cain Dingle at a funeral.
He was seen crying, wearing all black while stood at someone’s graveside. The funeral had just happened, with flowers by the freshly dug burial plot.
Viewers have been predicting for months who might d.i.e and who Cain might be grieving for. The latest theory is that it’s his son Nate Robinson, following the major hint that he was the body in the lake found by Amy Wyatt recently.
His fate remains unknown as Amy d.i.e.d before she could tell anyone what she saw. That said, the soap has basically given away that it is Nate and fans spotted some clues on the body that also suggests this, including his jacket sleeve and a bracelet.
But some fans think it won’t be Nate whose funeral Cain attends in upcoming episodes. With it not yet revealed when the scenes air, some fans think it’s too obvious for it to be Nate’s funeral.

Then there’s Amy, who was the mother of Cain’s son Kyle. Viewers think this is too obvious too, while Amy’s funeral happens next week and it doesn’t match the one shown in the flashforward.
So who could it be that Cain is grieving for? Fans are now wondering if Cain will end up k.i.l.l.i.n.g his brother Caleb Miligan as their feud heats up – ahead of Caleb flatlining in hospital. The other theory amid his wife Moira Dingle getting the all clear, after having treatment for a brain tumour, is that it will be Moira who ends up tragically dying.
Taking to social media, one fan posted: “To have Cain crying at Amy or Nate’s grave is too obvious even for Emmerdale. So who does that leave? Does cain k.i.l.l Caleb? Or worse, despite her all clear result, does Moira d.i.e after she and Cain split up over the one night stand?”
It comes as the latest episode saw Tracy Robinson and Cain questioning why Nate had still not been in touch, not even calling on his daughter Frankie’s birthday. Instead he sent her a present in the post.
Of course fans know that Nate is d.e.a.d, and the person who has been messaging Tracy since September cannot be him. So how long will it be before someone figures out Nate is no longer alive?
