Emmerdale fans say April living on street ‘hard to watch’ as they praise incredible Amelia Flanagan
Fans will see harrowing scenes of April's struggles
In tonight’s episode viewers finally see what happened to April in a serious of flashbacks.
At the earlier time of 7pm on ITV or now on ITV X, Emmerdale fans will see harrowing scenes of April’s struggles on the street after she leaves the village at Christmas.
Her struggle starts when she tries to find places to sleep after paying £85 for a hotel room on Christmas Day. After ringing around her friends and being unable to find somewhere to lay low, she has to make do with sleeping on the streets next to some bins.
Later, two drunk men come over and spill drinks over her making her move from her spot. She then finds a group of homeless people, where a man offers her a bed but April is warned by another teenager that he is a pervert. April then befriends the stranger, despite him trying to steal from her and is taken to a house where he stays with other homeless kids.
By this time, it is now only New Year’s Eve when she thinks she has been blocked by ‘friends’ that she tries to call to ask for a place to stay. But that isn’t the last of April’s problems, as her ‘roommates’ start to get concerned about her being sick at certain times, to which she eventually admits that she is pregnant.
In the next flashback, she is with another girl begging on the street. The pair are given a hot chocolate by a passer-by – which is then stolen by another homeless person. The girl April is with tries to get it back but is then stabbed.
April then later steals from a café then finds a missing poster Marlon used to find her. Police then ransack the place April was staying at where she is able to sneak out, however she finds herself in pain and hides in a gym toilet where she gives birth to her baby.
She is then found on a park bench where a parent tells her kid to leave her alone.
