Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ exits of two villagers as killer ‘exposed’ in Cain Dingle twist
Emmerdale fans have been convinced that Ella Forster is connected to Meena Jutla for months and tonight, they finally got the answers they were looking for
In a surprising twist in Emmerdale, Ella Forster (played by Paula Lane) confided in Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) during Friday night’s instalment and the pair both contemplated leaving the village.
Speculations have been rife amongst fans that there is some form of connection between Paula Lane’s character, Ella, and the notorious Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu). This villain caused havoc around Emmerdale before her murderous reign was put to an end.
While some speculated that their paths crossed in prison, others suspected an early childhood connection following the discovery of a photograph. Today, however, the truth about Ella’s past and her association with Meena came to light.
When discussing her affiliation with the Phillips family with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), she confessed: “I did something terrible and I went to prison for a long time. But after many years, these incredibly clever people – these psychology people, prison people – they had meetings about how I was doing and when I should be released.”
She detailed her journey, sharing, “I got knocked back twice because of my attitude and they transferred me to the women’s prison, and eventually these experts decided that I was no risk to the public, no more than you or anyone else.
“And when it gets terrible like now, and when it gets out what I did and I have to leave again, I cling to the fact those people put their faith in me and believed in me. They were right. The most violent thing since I was released six years ago was pouring a pint over that guy’s head.”
Emmerdale fans think a double exit could be on the cards
The village subsequently discovered an article about a girl named Ruth Davies, now identified as Ella’s real name.
The piece revealed that an 11-year-old Ruth had engaged in a “jealous frenzied attack” on Joanne, also aged 11.
As Ella prepared to leave the village, she was stopped by Cain who also confessed he had thought about leaving.
“I am not laying my seld bare for people in a pub to poke over,” Ella said before adding: “Tell Liam I am sorry.
“Other than June he is the only person who has given me a home and I’ll always love him for that.”
Cain hesitated as he replied: “You know my son, earlier I was half joking with our Charity about us going somewhere else because of all this stuff.”
“Can’t say I recommend it,” Ella went on as Cain added: “Maybe you stop doing it and we won’t start.”
Emmerdale was exposed as a child killer
Following the episode, fans took to social media to share their thoughts and theories about Ella and Cain leaving. One even suspected Ella aka Ruth is related to the Dingles.
“Please don’t go Cain…..you and Billy make it bearable for me,” one fan pleaded as another said: ” Cain wants to move out of the village.”
A third suggested: “It’s clear Ella is staying in the village. What was the purpose of introducing a new character? She will stay somehow and be related to a Dingle as her name is Ruth #emmerdale.”
Someone else shared: “Looks like no one wants you around Ella. #Emmerdale.”
“Why is Cain convincing Ella to stay? #emmerdale poor Liam,” another asked while one added: “I dunno why but that episode made me emotional. I hope Ella stays #Emmerdale.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
