Emmerdale favourite unexpectedly lands new job – and it spells bad news
Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) was grateful when Kim Tate (Claire King) offered her a new job in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale – but that positive feeling really didn’t last long.
Kim was feeling reflective at the start of the instalment, as she headed to lay some flowers on Will Taylor’s (Dean Andrews) grave.
Kim’s husband Will d.i.e.d at Christmas after suddenly suffering a heart attack. In the aftermath, a spiralling Dawn accused both Kim and Joe (Ned Porteous) of k.i.l.l.i.n.g her dad, but eventually came to accept there truly wasn’t anything suspicious about the death.
After Dawn’s failed attempt at d.r.u.g.g.i.n.g and getting revenge on Kim, she was taken aback when she said it was important they moved forward together.
Family was the topic of conversation when Kim found Joe in the graveyard as well.
As she sat down, Joe pondered over the d.e.a.t.h of Graham and his father Chris. It prompted Kim to open up about how much she misses Graham, and how it’s almost been a month since Will’s death.
Joe managed to make Kim feel better by reminding her that while she’s lost a lot, she still has a family at Home Farm in the form of him, Dawn, Billy (Jay Kontzle) and the children.
Wanting to keep her loved ones close, Kim got back home and found Dawn. She told her they needed a chat, and that she wouldn’t need to go to work at the vets today.
Kim offered Dawn a new job, and she said yes. As they celebrated with champagne, Joe returned.
A comment from Kim about leaving Joe in charge then left Dawn puzzled. She announced that Joe would be her new boss, and Dawn was furious.
Following these scenes, Dawn will attempt to confront Joe. She tries to say that he orchestrated the entire thing because he wanted to spend time with her, but things take a sudden turn when Dawn and Joe kiss, and then sleep together.
Viewers will later see a guilty Dawn gear up to tell Billy the truth, but before the story comes spilling out, she finds Joe in a terrible state.
Joe is drifting in and out of consciousness while sat in his parked car on a deserted country road.
He’s got a bottle of p.i.l.l.s lying next to him on the floor.
Could this be the moment Dawn finds out what’s truly wrong with him?
