Emmerdale issues Joe Tate update as village favourite arrested after attack
Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that one village favourite will be arrested next week after Joe Tate was pushed from a window during Lydia Dingle's birthday party
Next week’s Emmerdale spoilers have hinted at a Joe Tate twist as a beloved village resident is taken into custody.
Just last week, an unknown individual shoved Joe out of Home Farm’s window in a dramatic whodunnit during Lydia Dingle’s birthday bash.
Joe, who made his return to the village in December, has accumulated a number of adversaries due to his string of outrageous actions.
These include drugging his half-brother Noah Dingle, leading to the fatal limo crash that claimed the lives of Amy Barton, Leyla Harding and Suzy Merton.
Joe also masterminded the knife attack on his uncle Caleb Miligan to snatch his kidney, a plan he successfully executed. Moreover, he’s been having a secret affair with Dawn Fletcher behind her husband Billy’s back and even blackmailing her young daughter Clemmie, reports Leicestershire Live.
During Lydia’s birthday party at Home Farm, many of Joe’s foes were present when the truth about his kidney theft and the cause of the limo crash came to light.
As the pressure on Joe increased with numerous villagers expressing their fury, Thursday’s hour-long episode concluded with Joe being pushed from an upstairs window and left unnoticed on the ground below.
Currently, there are nine potential culprits, with Billy, Noah, Kerry, Cain, Ruby, Caleb, Charity, Dawn and Clemmie all featured in Emmerdale’s official promotional image for the plotline.
Brand new spoilers for next week’s episodes have revealed fresh developments in the gripping whodunnit at Home Farm, where police are diligently investigating the dramatic events of the party. In a shocking turn of events, Billy finds himself under arrest, leaving everyone questioning whether he’s really the culprit?
The fate of Joe hangs in the balance following his hospital dash on Friday night, due to injuries sustained from the perilous fall. Ned Porteous, portraying the potentially ill-fated Joe, hinted at what could be in store if his character pulls through: “I’m sure there’ll be some sort of vengeance, particularly.”
He added: “It’s not the nicest thing to get, you know, pushed out of a window, so I’m sure he’s a little bit miffed about that, but we’ll see. I can’t give you any spoilers!”
Emmerdale’s producer Laura Shaw also added: “Charismatic bad boy, Joe Tate, as soon as he arrived in the show he’d already got quite a few enemies straight away but what we’ll see in the kind of run up is that he manages to recruit quite a few more enemies as well.
“And by the time we get to this episode, that list has grown and grown and grown. What you kind of see is we’ve got this lavish birthday party that’s been arranged for Lydia.”
She added: “We’ve got lots of people up here and there are a lot of daggers drawn and a lot of people looking at Joe Tate and want him dead”, further teasing: “I can tell you that one person definitely will be getting their revenge on Joe Tate. Will they succeed in their m.u.r.d.e.r.o.u.s act? We’ll have to wait and see!”
