Emmerdale Kim Tate ‘set for toyboy romance in village’ – and it’s not who you think
Emmerdale viewers are convinced that a new romance could be on the cards for Kim Tate

Emmerdale seems to have dropped a hint about the identity of Kim Tate’s next love interest, and it’s not who you’d expect.
Kim (played by Claire King) has been a fixture in the popular soap since 1989. Known as the village’s femme fatale, Kim has been at the centre of numerous major plotlines. Her time in the Dales has been filled with drama, from her various feuds to even faking her own d.e.a.t.h.
She’s also had her fair share of high-profile romances – from her scandalous affair and subsequent marriage to Frank Tate (Norman Bowler), to her recent dalliance with Will Taylor (Dean Andrews). Her love life has often been the subject of village gossip.
However, Christmas brought heartbreak for Kim when her husband Will passed away. Viewers will remember that their relationship was tumultuous throughout last year, reports Leicestershire Live.
The couple were constantly scheming against each other, but eventually saw sense and rekindled their romance, renewing their vows on Christmas Day. Tragically, Will later suffered a fatal heart attack.
Since then, Kim has tried to move forward, immersing herself in work. But fans can’t shake the feeling that the ITV soap has given a significant hint about who might be Kim’s next romantic partner.
Last week, new character Kammy (Shebz Miah) arrived on the scene, quickly causing a stir as he was revealed to be pilfering items from local farms.
Sarah Sugden (played by Katie Hill) and Ross Barton (Mike Parr) stumbled upon Kammy’s misadventure, with Ross quickly deciding he wanted a piece of the action, urging Kammy to nick a tractor from Kim’s Home Farm.
However, Kammy ended up swiping Kim’s horse by mistake – and bolted from the scene when Ross turned up, leaving Ross looking like the horse thief. Ross returned the steed to Home Farm but found himself at gunpoint as Kim demanded an explanation.
Ross, ever the smooth talker, managed to wriggle out of the tight spot, even persuading Kim to take him on for Home Farm’s security detail.
Now, Emmerdale fans are buzzing with predictions that romance is on the horizon for Kim and Ross. A fan speculated on an Emmerdale Facebook group: “Kim and Ross the new power couple? … I think so!”.
The sentiment was shared among viewers, with another adding: “Actually want this. I’ve said it for a while as well.” A third fan concurred: “I think so too.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
