Emmerdale Kim Tate’s new toyboy ‘revealed’ after Will’s d.e.a.t.h – and he’s Dales favourite
Emmerdale's Kim Tate is set to be left devastated in the aftermath of Will Taylor's d.e.a.t.h, but some fans are convinced she will find love with a new man in the village
Emmerdale’s Kim Tate, played by Claire King, could be in for a surprise romance with an unexpected villager following the demise of her husband Will Taylor.
Fans will remember that Kim and Will, portrayed by Dean Andrews, had reignited their love affair after months of conflict. In an attempt to move forward, Kim proposed they renew their vows on Christmas Day.
However, unbeknownst to Kim, Will was conspiring with her former financial advisor Peter, played by David Michaels, to bring her down. Moreover, it was revealed that Peter was also working for a mysterious person determined to exact revenge on Kim Tate.
The enigmatic individual turned out to be none other than Joe Tate, played by Ned Porteous, who made a dramatic appearance on Christmas Day. After the vow renewal, Joe arrived at Home Farm, leaving Kim stunned.
Since the tragic loss, Kim and Will’s daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley) have been left devastated as they mourn Will. But Emmerdale watchers are convinced Kim is set to fall for another: A theory shared by a sleuth on an Emmerdale Facebook fan forum suggests that Kim might just ignite a spark with Joe Tate.
Orphaned offspring of Christopher Tate and Rachel Hughes, Joe Tate bounced out of the village back in 2018 under grim circumstances he was forced to leg it when his life was put in danger by Kim, once hitched to his granddad Frank Tate.
He then exposed Will’s plot to ruin her, leading Kim to realise the truth of his words, reports Leeds Live. In a private moment with Will, Kim declared their marriage over. Suddenly, Will clutched his chest and fell to the floor, bringing the Christmas tree down with him.
As he gasped for air, Kim looked on helplessly. When she realised Will was actually dying, panic ensued, and Kim did everything she could to keep him alive. Despite the arrival of emergency services, they sadly confirmed that Will had passed away.
Now with Joe swaggering back into the Dales and playing the hero, the soap fans are betting their boots on a budding romance with the sorrowful Kim.
A crafty viewer speculated on the site: “Joe and Kim will sleep together they’re not bio related.” The prediction snared support quicker than a pint at The Woolpack, with another adding: “I can see it tbh.” Meanwhile, a third chimed in with a snarky: “Hey it’s Emmerdale cousins sleep together!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
