Emmerdale legend’s exit ‘confirmed’ 31 years after first episode as fans spot worrying sign
Emmerdale's Victoria Sugden could be saying goodbye to the village in upcoming scenes, according to soap fans
Emmerdale enthusiasts believe they’ve uncovered a significant clue hinting at Victoria Sugden’s departure from the show.
Victoria was born in 1994 to Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby) and his then-fiancée Sarah Connolly (Alyson Spiro). As a young child, Victoria was played by Jessica Heywood until 1997, followed by Hannah Midgley from 1997 to 2006. Isabel Hodgins has played the character ever since then.
Over the years, Victoria has found herself at the centre of numerous high-profile storylines.
She notably survived an explosion that she inadvertently caused, was admitted into psychiatric care, and accidentally hit Ashley Thomas (John Middleton) with her car.
In 2015, Victoria tied the knot with Adam Barton (Adam Thomas), but was left heartbroken when he went on the run following Emma Barton’s (Gillian Kearney) d.e.a.t.h in 2017, reports Belfast Live.

One particularly poignant storyline saw Victoria sexually assaulted by car salesman Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie) in 2019.
When Lee denied the assault, Victoria’s brother, Robert (Ryan Hawley), attacked him.
After being arrested and subsequently pleading guilty to assaulting Lee prior to his d.e.a.t.h, Robert was handed a 14-year prison sentence.
Robert made a surprise return to the ITV soap last month after a six-year absence from the Dales. He dramatically interrupted his ex-husband Aaron Dingle’s (Danny Miller) wedding to his half-brother John (Oliver Farnworth).

Despite sharing a kiss with Aaron, Robert’s attempts to rekindle their relationship were unsuccessful as Aaron chose to marry John, determined to move forward with his life.
Shortly after tying the knot, Robert found himself whisked back to jail for breaching his bail terms.
On Tuesday night (June 17), Robert was paid a visit by Aaron, who let slip that he had tipped the police off weeks prior.
John then arrived at the prison and threatened his brother, ominously telling Robert that he “has no idea” what he’s capable of.
“What is your big secret, Johnny boy? Let me guess, you weasel around stealing other people’s lives,” Robert said.

“Before this chat, I was willing to let Aaron go and move on, but the more I know you, the more I don’t want you anywhere near him… I’m coming back and I’m gonna make sure Aaron sees what a messed up freak you really are.”
As Robert sets his sights on bringing John down, several Emmerdale fans are convinced that Victoria might leave the village in upcoming scenes.
“I think Victoria’s going to leave soon, she’s hardly ever in the show and every time she’s on screen now, it feels like filler,” one person wrote on a Facebook fan page.
Another added: “Now Robert’s coming back for the foreseeable, I think she could go,” while a third said: “Now that you mention it, this could happen.”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “As it gets closer to John being found out, Victoria might leave the village when he does.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
