Emmerdale Marlon Dingle star reveals April Windsor’s next plan – and it’s ‘horrifying’
Mark Charnock has opened up about what's next for his character Marlon Dingle and his daughter April Windsor as their relationship hits another hurdle in Emmerdale next week
Emmerdale Marlon Dingle star Mark Charnock has spoken out on April Windsor’s next “horrifying” plan calling it a “real turning point” in their relationship.
Concerned Marlon (Mark Charnock) tries to make his daughter see he’s not angry, just worried about her next week in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap but their attempts to make up don’t go well.
Before long Marlon finally admits it was him who framed Dylan (Fred Kettle) for stealing the ketamine and April’s (Amelia Flanagan) shocked.
Eager to fix things, Marlon shows her the letter that proves Dylan still cares about her. April rushes away and Marlon despairs he’s made things worse.
Before long after successfully stealing from the veterinary surgery April escapes with a vial of ketamine.
When Marlon returns home he’s horrified to find April unconscious with an empty vial of ketamine beside her.
Marlon secretly plants a tracking device in April’s coat but the next day he realises Rhona has discovered it and she urges Marlon to give April the freedom she wants.
Marlon is left with a decision to make.
Speaking about his latest storyline, Mark explained: “April fakes an overdose to teach them a lesson which is so horrifying.
“He walks in and on the floor he sees his daughter with what appears to be a used ketamine vial next to her and the horror is instantaneous.
“After everything they’ve been through, Dylan’s overdose and April’s disseverance, for all the world it looks like she’s d.e.a.d.
“He thinks she’s not quite d.e.a.d and he’s screaming about getting help and she just sits up and says that’s what karma feels like.
“It’s an awful thing for a parent have to go through but I think what they’re doing is showing the extent to which their trust has been broken and it’s a real turning point.
“He keeps building walls around but he just has to trust her.”
