Emmerdale return ‘sealed’ for legend after 18 years and April Windsor will be floored
Emmerdale viewers are convinced that a former legend is heading back to the village to help her niece April Windsor in the wake of her recent struggles
Emmerdale fans are speculating that a former resident of the Dales might be making a comeback, following a significant twist involving April Windsor.
April (played by Amelia Flanagan) has had a challenging and distressing few months on the ITV soap. Late last year, she disappeared after running away from home due to a disagreement with her father Marlon (Mark Charnock).
She was eventually discovered months later in a gym toilet, where she unexpectedly went into labour, only to be heartbroken by the stillbirth of her baby girl.
Since returning to the Dales, April has been trying to regain some semblance of normality, but recent events have proven difficult for her.

This week, she confessed to Marlon that she couldn’t sit her GCSE exams due to the emotional toll of her recent experiences. A sympathetic Marlon managed to arrange for April to restart the school year in September, reports Belfast Live.
Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) then offered April a summer job at Take A Vow. However, during her first shift at a christening at the Woolpack, things took a dramatic turn when April recognised the father of the girl.
A flashback to April’s time living rough revealed the man and a friend stumbling upon April sleeping on the streets. They then drunkenly suggested urinating on her.
Back in the present day, April was overwhelmed with emotion as she remembered the repugnant man – and it wasn’t long before she publicly exposed his behaviour to everyone.
It seems April is in for a rough ride over the next few weeks in Emmerdale as soap newcomer Ray, portrayed by Joe Absolom, embroils her in a drugs scheme.
With April already facing challenges and Joe’s character set to exploit her in the upcoming episodes, fans are speculating about the potential return of an old favourite to come to her aid.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, one fan expressed concern: “Poor April is still struggling.”
Another member of the group raised the possibility of Scott Windsor (played by Ben Freeman), who exited the show in 2007, making a comeback to help his niece.
A commenter shared their hope, posting: “She needs someone like her uncle Scott to help her. They should bring him back,” This sentiment was echoed by another fan who reflected: “I liked Scott he was a good character and he’s still got family in the village.”
A fellow enthusiast agreed, writing: “You might be onto something!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
