Emmerdale reveals Peter’s secret boss as legend’s return ‘confirmed’ 28 years after debut
Emmerdale’s Kim Tate is in for a shock on Christmas Day as the ITV soap has appeared to reveal who is trying to take her down with the help of Peter
Emmerdale has appeared to reveal Peter’s mystery boss – and it’s bad news for Kim Tate.
Peter (David Michaels) rocked up to the Dales this year, amid Kim Tate (Claire King) and Will’s (Dean Andrews) messy split. Kim hired financial advisor Peter in a bid to help keep Will’s hands over her fortune.
However, Kim decided to call off her feud with Will, as well as their divorce – realising she still loved him. Will appeared to feel the same and the pair quickly rekindled their romance – with Will and Kim now planning on renewing their vows on Christmas Day.
But recently things took a shocking turn when it was revealed that Peter and Will have been in cahoots for months, as part of a plot to take down Kim. What’s more, Peter isn’t working alone – he is working with a mysterious person, who wants to ruin Kim’s life.
Little information has been given so far on the identity of the person in question, apart from that it is supposedly a male, and they are currently abroad.
Will is also in the dark about the boss. The mysterious man in question is also planning on arriving in the village on Christmas Eve – just in time to ruin things for Will and Kim as they renew their wedding vows.
However, during Monday’s episode (December 23), the soap named a suspect in the whole ordeal. At Home Farm, Will was left startled when Peter showed up, insisting that his boss needed information on Kim from Will.
Growing tired of the secrets, an angry Will said he knew who the boss was and that all the sneaking around could stop. He told Peter that it was Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) as he is the only person who hates Kim as much as Will used to.
Peter didn’t confirm or deny whether Jamie is the secret boss – but as fans will recall Jamie is Kim’s son, born in 1996. What’s more, viewers were quick to share their thoughts. Over on X, people reckon the namedrop was just a “red herring”.
One person penned: “Red herring as I still think it’s Joe-Too obvious to for it to be Jamie!”Someone else agreed and wrote: “That Jamie naming has to be a red herring!” A third chimed in and penned: “I’m still saying it’s Joe Tate for the return!!”
