Emmerdale reveals what really happened to Nate Robinson as body in the lake identified
Emmerdale's latest episode appeared to confirm Nate Robinson's true fate on the ITV soap after his mystery exit in September, following the discovery of a body in a lake
There was a sad twist on Emmerdale on Friday night, as viewers appeared to be told Nate Robinson’s true fate.
After days of speculation that he was the mystery body Amy Wyatt found in the lake, a scene appeared to confirm this was the case. On Monday we saw Amy fall through the ice and become trapped following a limo crash.
Amy was rescued by had been under the icy water too long, sadly losing her life in the hospital during Thursday’s emotional episode. Also k.i.l.l.e.d in the crash were Leyla Harding and Suzy Merton.
A fourth d.e.a.t.h was also confirmed though when Amy found a body in the water. She appeared to identify said body before she d.i.e.d, but her husband Matty Barton could not make sense of what she was saying.
Amy was shown connecting the dots on Tuesday after spotting the arm of the body was wearing a familiar looking bracelet. When she saw a similar one on the arm of Tracy Robinson, she realised they were the ones made by Tracy’s daughter Frankie, with Amy also having one.

It’s then it seemed to hit her the body was Frankie’s father Nate Robinson, confirmed when she told Matty that Nate was “in the water” twice when the woke up amid her battle for life. Matty misheard her, and seconds later Amy lost her life.
Viewers had already come to the same conclusion though, having questioned for months whether Nate was d.e.a.d. Nate had seemingly left for Shetland back in September for a new job after his reunion with Tracy broke down, following a false affair claim.
The affair claim also saw Nate disowned by his father Cain Dingle, who beat him up and told him he wanted nothing to do with him. We last saw Nate speaking with John Sugden on the farm before the barn explosion, with him vowing to leave the toxic village behind for good.
It was days later that people realised Nate was gone with no one able to get into contact with him. He’s only been sending messages to Tracy, and no one has actually spoken to him.
So when the body was found and fans saw the jacket sleeve and the bracelet, fans immediately guessed Nate was d.e.a.d all along and now it seems they are right. On Friday as a grief-stricken Tracy called her ex, she begged him to come home and told him she missed him.
As the conversation went on, with Nate not picking up his phone, the camera panned back to the lake and the body sinking to the bottom in a body bag. We once again saw the arm with the bracelet, with the scene airing alongside the call to Nate – therefore appearing to confirm this was Nate’s body.
With this confirmation we now know Nate’s true fate and what really happened with his weird exit back in September. While we don’t know how he d.i.e.d or who k.i.l.l.e.d him, we do know that Nate never left the village.
He never made it to Shetland and has not been the person contacting Tracy. Nate was seemingly k.i.l.l.e.d with his body hidden in the lake yet to be discovered, and he’s been there all this time.
