Emmerdale ‘reveals’ who really framed Ella as she’s ‘innocent’ – but it’s not John or Chas
Emmerdale fans reckon the soap has dropped a hint about who really framed Ella - and it's not John

Emmerdale has appeared to confirm who has really framed Ella Forster – and it’s not who you think.
Since her debut in 2024, Ella (Paula Lane) has had a dramatic time in the famous village. Recently, she was faced with accusations that she drugged Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) amid her jealousy over her upcoming marriage with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
Then things took an even more sinister twist when Liam and Chas’ nuptials were cancelled; a move that looked like another nasty trick from Ella’s supposed campaign of harassment.
Liam was quick to get the police involved after this latest incident, but things took a dramatic turn when the pub’s window got smashed.
Both Liam and Chas insisted Ella was behind it, completely unaware that a confused Ella was actually watching their every move.
Then after holding Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) hostage in order to speak to Liam so she could clear her name, Ella went on the run with Liam hot on her heels.
The chase led to a tense face-off in the woods where Ella shoved Liam, causing him to take a nasty tumble and knock himself out. Fortunately, Liam was ok and insisted Ella get professional help.
Ella was arrested once more, seeming to confirm her departure from Emmerdale. However, fans are certain that Ella is being set up – and they ‘know’ who is behind it.
And while some reckon it’s the mysterious John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), others are certain it is actually Liam, after viewers noticed a “guilty” look on his face, which could hint he is the one responsible for framing Ella.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “I’m still saying it’s Liam that drugged Chas, he had that guilty look on his face at the end knowing what he’s just done to Ella, setting her up!“
Other fans agreed as a second person penned: “Me too 100%.” A third also chimed in and said: “My thoughts as well, I don’t think it’s John he’s a red herring.” Another viewer mused: “Same I have a feeling it’s Liam.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
