Emmerdale: ‘rumble’ which Dingle is Dylan’s parent – and it’s ‘not Eli’
Emmerdale fans have been speculating whether newcomer Dylan has a secret link to the Dingle family, and now a new theory suggests his mum is a familiar face
Viewers are predicting a major twist for Dylan on Emmerdale amid his possible exit from the show.
The teen has been living on the streets for a while, and this is where he met April Windsor who had run away from home. Dylan arrived in the village in a recent episode and April’s dad Marlon Dingle wanted him out of the way.
After setting him up by planting stolen drugs from the vets on him, he was horrified when the addict ended up overdosing and was rushed to hospital. Marlon felt bad and agreed to pay for him to go to a private rehab facility to get clean.
Dylan offered to take the blame for the drugs so that Marlon wouldn’t lose April, with their relationship already on the rocks. Dylan told April before he headed for rehab that he wanted to cut contact with her as they needed to deal with their own trauma by themselves.
But amid calls from viewers for Dylan to be a full-time character, some fans are convinced he has a secret connection to the village. Fans had wondered whether it would turn out that Dylan was actually the secret son of Marlon’s brother and former character Eli Dingle.

This would make Dylan Marlon’s nephew, and would give him a reason to stay in the village. Fans were convinced Dylan was linked to the village and the family, as he came across “like a Dingle”.
Now, a new theory could see him related to a different member of the family. Fans are questioning if Dylan is the secret son of Tina Dingle, who made her comeback to the show last year after decades away.
Tina was evicted pretty much from the village by the family after she tried to steal her their home in the wake of Zak Dingle’s d.e.a.t.h. She blackmailed Mandy Dingle into giving her Zak’s will after realising she would not be entitled to anything.
Soon it emerged that Tina was Vinny Dingle’s real mother and that she had walked out on him when he was a baby, with Mandy then raising him. So did Tina have another child who she later abandoned once more, and could that child be Dylan?
Fans are wondering if Dylan is Tina’s secret child and whether he ended up on the streets after being abandoned by her. The theory read: “Is he one of Tina’s kids?!” There’s yet to be any suggestions from the soap that Dylan is a Dingle, but who knows!
