Emmerdale spoilers as villain ‘turns hero’ to save villager’s life
Disturbing scenes as character flatlines in hospital
In tonight’s Emmerdale, which can be viewed early on ITV X, Caleb hopes to make things better for Steph after the life-changing news about Anthony, however that is about to change thanks to Joe Tate’s plans.
Shaun attacks Caleb after setting a car alarm off to get him out of the office. Caleb tries to negotiate but is stabbed by Shaun. After lying on ground bleeding, Joe arrives to ‘rescue’ him and take him to hospital for surgery. They arrive at hospital, where Dr Crowley refuses to take him to operate due to Celeb being stabbed and not drugged but then takes him in anyway.
It is revealed that he needs a blood transfusion and it is revealed that his kidney could be damaged so they need to take the other – which will k.i.l.l Caleb. Just as Caleb is ‘stable’, once again Dr Crowley is refusing to do the operation as Caleb’s health deteriorates and Joe offers to pay his ex-wife’s mortgage to make him stick to the plan for the kidney transplant.
Meanwhile, Ross is back and Charity reveals that Joe is in Chicago after texting Noah – but Ross tells her that he isn’t as he has a tracking device on him and that he has been tracking him all morning. The pair follow the tracker to find him.
However, in a turn of events – the tracker is in Joe’s car which Sam is in.
At Home Farm, Kim shows Dawn that Joe has moved out and is not returning home. She calls Joe but has to leave a voicemail which he listens to before he is told to prepare for operation – however, just as everything is finally going to plan, an alarm goes off signalling something is wrong with Caleb.
Blissfully unaware Ruby and Steph dance to Celebs favourite song on vinyl as he flatlines.
Elsewhere in the village, Brenda is surprised to find out that she won the cruise competition she entered months ago and it isn’t too late to go. After Brenda refuses to go on the cruise, Nicola calls to put her names down but needs Brenda’s personal details.
Early bird fans have already taken to X, formerly known as Twitter to discuss the episode.
@Buzzing4this said: “Steph scenes today were really good. Didn’t expect John to be in the mix but him being far removed from the family probably made it easier for her to open up. Loved finally seeing her and Ruby bond but ending was so cruel . I love the Milligans.
“When Joe gets discovered, I really do need him to suffer. This organ theft plot is heinous. #Emmerdale.”
