Kim leaves her firearm unattended

Emmerdale fans are in for a treat with more gripping scenes in next week’s episodes of the ITV soap.

From an unexpected shoplifting betrayal to a sudden medical crisis, here’s what you can anticipate in the upcoming five episodes of Emmerdale, set to air from April 7.

Sarah distracts Cain to swipe his car keys, allowing Kammy, under her instructions, to pinch his vehicle from the garage for a joyride. Jacob, unaware of Sarah’s involvement and having seen Kammy speed off in Cain’s car, dials the police.

Later, PC Swirling stops Sarah on a country lane while she’s driving Cain’s car. She initially acts smug with him, but is swiftly put in her place when Swirling insists on inspecting the boot.

Elsewhere, Kim gets distracted by a business call and accidentally leaves her firearm within Thomas’s reach. Once Kim leaves the room, Thomas takes a keen interest in the gun.

Gabby comes back shortly after to find Thomas fiddling with the gun box. She’s furious at Kim and accuses her of undermining her parenting skills.

Kim is surprised when Gabby, Thomas and Vinny decide to move into the Dingles’. However, life at the Dingles isn’t all smooth sailing for Gabby as she quickly picks up on the tension between herself and Sam.

Sam cunningly suggests to Kim that Gabby might be considering a move to Leeds, a notion that spurs Kim into action. Despite her initial reservations, Gabby is thrilled when Kim extends an invitation for her to stay at Dale View, ensuring she and Thomas remain in the village.

With their sights set on their new life at Dale View, Gabby and Vinny kickstart the moving process. Kim, having seen through Sam’s ploy, can’t help but admire his determination.

Another character is set for a difficult time, too. In a moment of desperation and shame, Tracy swipes some cash from the till to make ends meet. The next day, she’s filled with anxiety upon learning that Eric plans to scrutinise the accounts ahead of selling the business.

Later, Tracy is wracked with guilt as Pollard blames himself for the missing money, all the while praising her for her unwavering support. Overcome by remorse, Tracy spills the beans about her theft to Vanessa the following day.

Tracy is touched when Vanessa apologises for overlooking her financial woes and hands her an envelope of cash to replenish the missing funds. Tracy returns the money, cleverly convincing Pollard that he had misplaced it.

Her guilt escalates when Pollard insists on treating her to lunch as a token of gratitude for her support. During their meal, a tipsy and furious Vanessa confronts Tracy, exposing her theft to Eric.

Liam is annoyed when distracted John misdiagnoses Kerry

Shocked by the revelation, Pollard promptly fires Tracy, leaving the pub patrons in stunned silence as they witness the unfolding drama – but there’s far worse to come, reports the Daily Record.

Liam finds himself irked when a preoccupied John incorrectly diagnoses Kerry. The next day, Liam declares his intention to scrutinise all of John’s work.

John opens up to Vic about his medical blunders. In an effort to cheer him up, Vic recounts her own professional slip-ups and encourages him to let go of his guilt.

However, the following day sees Jacob accidentally consuming the wrong coffee and suffering an anaphylactic shock, frantically realising his AAI pen is nowhere to be found. John springs into action, rushing to the unconscious Jacob and checking for a pulse as a terrified Vic watches on.

Can John rise to the occasion and manage this medical crisis?

In addition to the main plot lines, other scenes feature a red-faced Jacob walking in on Sarah during a private afternoon with Kammy, and a tipsy Vanessa, mourning her loss, lashing out at Rhona over her mother’s behaviour.

Simultaneously, Kim organises a romantic retreat for Dawn and Billy, hoping it will help patch up their relationship.
