Emmerdale spoilers: Tom terrified as Belle makes a sudden decision that could expose him at last
This week in Emmerdale, Tom King (James Chase) slowly started spinning a false narrative aboutĀ Belle DingleĀ (Eden Taylor-Draper).
After TomĀ punched Belle in the stomachĀ in a recent episode, he told his wife that he would seek help for hisĀ mental healthĀ and anger problems.
When Tom eventually arrived at the surgery, he ended up telling Liam (Jonny McPherson) that Belle is the one with issues ā not him.
Yesterday (May 23), this was fuelled again after an overwhelmed Belle pushed Tom in the middle of the street.
She had spent the day wanting to reflect onĀ the anniversary of her mumās death,Ā but an evil Tom made her stay inside for a parcel, and then focused more on the missed delivery rather than checking in on his partner.
After an argument that resulted in Belle pushing Tom to the floor, Lydia (Karen Blick) and Sam (James Hooton) took her inside where she spoke about feeling guilty in her relationship.
The development caused the Dingles a great deal of concern, so they held a meeting in the pub to try and reach an answer over what to do about their loved one.
Meanwhile, at Dale Head, Tom had disposed of one of Belleās mental health pills and managed to convince her that she had forgotten to take them for the rest of the week.
Confused and overwhelmed, Belle then had a visit from a mental health nurse.
Left alone, Belle told the nurse that sheās fearful about what may happen next if her mental health was to get worse.
To prevent this and keep Belle safe, the nurse concluded it would be best if she spent time in a mental health unit.
When Tom spotted Belle heading outside with a bag, he was incredibly surprised. He tried to tell the nurse that Belle just needed a reminder to take her medication, but they both knew time away from the village would be the better option.
As Belle got in the car, Tom looked incredibly troubled.
Belle will spend time away from the Dales and away from Tom, surrounded by people who want to help her.
She could say anything.
