Emmerdale star k.i.l.l.e.d off in limo crash breaks silence after tragic final scenes air
Viewers have shared their response to the character's exit from the Dales
A DEPARTING Emmerdale star whose character was k.i.l.l.e.d off into the limo crash has broken their silence.
The tragic incident saw a limo crash into an icy lake – with TEN residents left fighting for their lives.
Unfortunately, Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) d.i.e.d on site after violently hitting her head.
Martelle has now spoken out after her on-screen exit, having played the role for three years.
She wrote on X: “And just like that….Suzy is no more and a new chapter begins! ! What an ep!
“It’s been such a blessing to have been a part of such an iconic show that I grew up on and loved by so many! ! #Journeys.”
One fan wrote on X: “Can’t believe Suzy d.i.e.d in the crash didn’t see this coming.”
Another added: “I never guessed it would be Suzy, not in a million years.”
While a third penned: “Goodbye Suzy you will be missed.”
In scenes already aired, viewers watched as Suzy succumbed to her injuries.
It saw Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) reveal that her partner wasn’t breathing.
Although Dr. Liam (Jonny McPherson) attempted to revive her, Suzy was pronounced d.e.a.d – with the group left heartbroken.
Meanwhile, viewers have predicted another heartbreaking d.e.a.t.h as a result of the crash.
Having performed CPR, two paramedics looked at each other before a call was made to confirm one patient was “d.e.a.d upon arrival” at the hospital.
Fans have since theorised who this could be – with some deeming Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) too obvious due to her already announced exit.
One wrote on X: “I bet its Liam not Leyla!”
Another suggested: I think it’s Liam that doesn’t make it.
“Tonight’s episode shows some of them getting taken to hospital, the spoilers online show the person d.e.a.d has a head support brace on.
“The only one that has that as they enter the ambulance is Liam.”
As a third chimed in: “It’s way to obvious to be Leyla, I think Liam d.i.e.s.”
The body count began on Monday when a decomposing corpse was spotted after the crash.
Viewers believe this was Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) body trapped underneath the lake – thanks to a giveaway sign.
They spotted a bracelet on the corpse which looked similar to the one Nate’s daughter Frankie had given him.
Nate left the Dales in September 2024 and mysteriously vanished without being seen.
He had accepted a new job in Scotland, seemingly making a low-key exit following his wife’s affair with his uncle.
