Beth Hints At ‘New Friendships’ For Her Character In Emmerdale
Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly is eager for her character Ruby to make new friends in the village. Let us tell you Ruby has not formed a single bond since she entered the Dales. However, it is likely to happen soon. The actress recently teased a team-up with Moira, Charity, and Dawn.
Also, she expressed that she loves her character’s dynamic with Moira. The soap star exclaimed, “Moira is such a strong and feisty woman, just like my character.” They’ve been filming scenes where they’re aggressive towards each other in Emmerdale, but something interesting is coming out of it.
Cordingly admitted that it’s been so fun to play these intense scenes. Additionally, the actress shared that she had “nice scenes” with Charity and Dawn. She loved playing those scenes because, for the first time, Ruby, who usually pretends she doesn’t need anyone, was genuinely touched.
Are Ruby & Nate Friends?
The Emmerdale star revealed that Ruby had become friends with Nate. This is super interesting since both of their partners, Caleb and Tracy, cheated on them with each other. The star continues, “I know it was set up originally as ‘they’re going to get together,’ but that was almost too obvious.”
Nevertheless, she confessed that those scenes where Ruby opened up to Nate because they share similar situations of being cheated on were really nice to play. The Emmerdale Ruby star added, ‘I would love for Ruby to have a friend. It’s another exciting aspect to explore.”
She shared that portraying Ruby has been incredibly therapeutic for her. Reflecting on her past experience playing Sara in Family Affairs, she reminisced about the rebellious teenage character she portrayed. Beth recalled the challenge of showcasing a side of herself akin to what only her mother sees.
