Emmerdale star reveals ‘devastating news’ on the way with huge repercussions

There’s said to be a “devastating” twist on the way on Emmerdale in the fallout to a d.e.a.d.l.y twist.

Actress Natalie J Robb has hinted at big scenes ahead on the ITV soap, in the aftermath of a concerning discovery. A slurry leak at her farm leaves Moira facing financial ruin, but she and her family are unaware of the life-changing events set to occur off the back of the leak.

It’s been revealed that with the leak contaminating the water supply and getting into the lake near the village, the lake in question has to be dredged. Now, actress Natalie who plays Moira has heavily hinted it will be this decision that leads to a horrendous discovery, making the way for some “devastating news”.

The lake that needs dredging is the very same lake were Moira’s stepson Nate Robinson’s body has been for months, after he was k.i.l.l.e.d by John Sugden. This could finally be the moment fans have been waiting for since February, when the lake operation leads to the discovery of Nate’s corpse, and his m.u.r.d.e.r.

Moira’s husband Cain Dingle has no idea his son is d.e.a.d, or that he never left the village. He was meant to have fled to Shetland for a new life there in September after a showdown with Cain over a misunderstanding.

Everyone thinks that Nate has cut off contact with everyone, even his young daughter Frankie. Recent scenes, orchestrated by his k.i.l.l.e.r John, have only encouraged the theory that Nate wants nothing to do with any of them.

With soap boss Laura Shaw recently revealing Nate’s body would soon be found, and cast members recently teasing the aftermath, fans are now waiting for the big moment to happen. Actress Natalie may have now confirmed that this “devastating” turn of events could happen very soon, as scenes next week see the reveal that the lake needs to be dredged.

Natalie spilled on what is ahead: “The lake is gonna get dredged and then that’s the other thing, it’s what we find hidden within the lake. Then it’s going to bring devastating news of course.”

Laura had told The Mirror that around the time of John’s wedding to Aaron Dingle the truth about Nate could be rumbled. She told us: “We know Nate’s body is still in that lake and again, I can reveal that Nate is not gonna stay in that lake forever.

“So when John finds out the lake is being dredged and he knows the body is gonna come up, will he make it to his vows? Is he gonna be arrested?

“It’s all going on and it’s gonna be good, with Nate and Aidan both threatening to ruin the day for John and putting everything with Aaron at risk, what lengths is John gonna be pushed to to avoid that happening?”

The scenes where the body is found and characters learn the truth have already been filmed it’s believed. It’s also thought the funeral flashforward of Cain will be linked to Nate’s d.e.a.t.h.
