Emmerdale star says ‘I’ve got something wrong in my brain’ after admission
Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has spoken out on her character Chas Dingle's upcoming dramatic storyline, which sees her collapse in the Woolpack and rushed to hospital

Emmerdale icon Lucy Pargeter joked there’s “something wrong in her brain” as she admits she “loves” performing her own stunts.
Fans were gripped recently as they saw Lucy’s Chas Dingle collapse in The Woolpack. It came as she continued to recover from a devastating limousine crash.
Suzy Merton, Leyla Harding and Amy Wyatt were all k.i.l.l.e.d as the vehicle they were travelling in smashed through ice and plunged into freezing water. And while Chas survived, she has been left needing p.a.i.n.k.i.l.l.e.r.s to battling a bad back.

Fans now believe Ella Forster (Paula Lane) could have tampered with the medication, reports Leicestershire Live. Speaking on the Off Script podcast with Kelvin and Liz Fletcher, Lucy revealed she loves filming scenes like the crash and Chas’s fall.
She said: “Chas has a little incident, she’s got a bad back from the limo, fell through a big hole in the ice, that was fun at 3am. She did her back in, she’s on p.a.i.n.k.i.l.l.e.r.s, she feels a bit woozy, and she knocks herself out. I love a stunt by the way. I think I did a really good job”
Liz chimed in with a reaction, saying: “We gasped. We were not expecting that.”
To which Lucy responded: “I love doing my own stunts. I think I’ve got something wrong in my brain.
“When we did all of the limo stuff, we worked with one specific stunt director, and he always goes, ‘you want to do it yourself, don’t you?’ And I’m like, ‘Of course I do’.
“It’s a buzz to see if you survive it. And also, I just like the whole experience of doing it.”
Lucy shared her experience with a challenging scene, saying she had to “whack her head on the bar” and then collapse. She disclosed: “I went for it and he went, ‘Yeah, just like that, just do it like that’ and they went, ‘We’ve got it from that rehearsal’.”
She later explained how she managed the stunt. She explained: “I put my hand down and went for my hand, but knew where my hand was so reacted before I got to my hand. So long as you do the reaction, the whiplash.”
“The whiplash gives the reaction of hitting your head. So as long as you can whiplash and fall over properly, you’re fine.”
Liz commended the scene, calling it “so good” while Lucy’s husband Kelvin, former Andy Sugden actor from 1996 to 2016, remarked on its “realistic” execution.
