Emmerdale taken off air tonight in ITV schedule shake-up as fans left furious
Emmerdale has been cancelled on Tuesday night as ITV's schedule has been replaced with Live International Football as the England v Senegal match will air
Emmerdale fans are facing a telly shake-up this evening (Tuesday 10 June), as their beloved soap will be benched in favour of the Live International Football coverage, featuring England’s match vs Senegal at 7:45pm.
Regulars accustomed to the daily 7:30pm Emmerdale slot and early risers catching the ITV X showing at 7 am have been thrown for a loop with tonight’s scheduling switch-up.
The social media sphere has seen a flurry of comments from disappointed viewers lamenting the absence of their rural Yorkshire drama.
One frustrated fan noted: “Remember there is NO #Emmerdale tonight due to the football once again” while another stated: “I can see a lot of people gonna be moaning later as there’s no Episode tonight due to the football #emmerdale.”
Further remarks include: “*Reminder* there is No Episode of #Emmerdale this evening it’s back tomorrow at 7:30pm”, while another put: “Am i reading the TV guide correctly? No Emmerdale tomorrow, Football instead?” plus a different viewer added: “More b****y football!”, reports Leicestershire Live.
This reschedule happens amidst explosive events in Emmerdale, where viewers have just witnessed the dramatic discovery of Nate Robinson’s body in the village lake.
Fans certainly haven’t forgotten that John Sugden murdered Nate last year post-barn fire disaster, injecting him with a lethal substance before concealing his body underwater.
Nate’s family and friends initially believed he had moved to Shetland for a new job opportunity, but suspicions arose when he failed to send child support payments for his daughter Frankie or maintain contact.
Nate’s father, Cain Dingle, has been under scrutiny due to an argument with his son on the day of his death. On Monday evening, John found himself being interrogated by the police about the day Nate vanished.
After the interview concluded, John was hopeful that he had provided enough information to shield Cain. Later, Cain expressed his suspicion that Tracy might be behind Nate’s demise, leading to an outraged Tracy defending herself against the allegations.
As the episode drew to a close, John attempted to console Cain, assuring him that the police would soon shift their attention elsewhere, while the unstable medical professional devised a shrewd scheme.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV and ITV X at 7.30pm with an hour-long episode on Thursdays and is available to stream from 7am on ITV X.
