Emmerdale Tom King’s next victim ‘rumbled’ by fans after workplace humiliation
After manipulating his wife Belle Dingle, Emmerdale viewers believe Tom King will soon turn his attentions to Vanessa Woodfield after she called him out over an incident at work
Emmerdale viewers believe they have rumbled Tom King’s next victim after another he was left “humiliated” and angry by another Dales resident.
Scenes over the last few months have seen Tom – played by actor James Chase – attempt to manipulate and control his wife, Belle. He’s also turned his attentions to her fellow Dingle, Vinny, but now a third resident should be looking over their shoulder after Tom was slammed at work over an almost fatal error.
It saw Tom misdiagnose a dog with cancer and inform its owners it should be put down – despite him not running any tests. It soon turned out the pooch simply had an abscess that need draining.
That prompted the dog’s owner to curse Tom and storm out and seek treatment elsewhere. Mortified, colleagues Vanessa and Paddy were left fuming, knowing he hadn’t carried the necessary investigations.
After asking Vanessa to explain her comment that he was “still learning”, she explained he was getting basic rules wrong and she that she was unable to believe he could make such a crucial error.
Tom then screamed as Vanessa put her hand up to stop him making matters any worse, prompting her to hit back that he has a “fragile ego”. Clearly affected by it all, he went home and told Belle he’d been left “humiliated” before encouraging her to help him make amends by inviting his workmates to dinner.
However, given his track record, fans believe he will soon be plotting Vanessa’s downfall. “Think Vanessa’s now put herself in psycho Tom’s crosshairs,” penned one X (formerly Twitter) user.
“Vanessa killed by Tom soon,” speculated another. A third added: “No Vanessa. He’s gonna try and poison you. I bet he’s planning revenge. He’s not gonna invite anyone else.” And a fourth said: “Omg what’s he going to do to Vanessa, she ain’t going to get away with talking to him like that.”
Emmerdale weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
