Emmerdale tonight spoilers as April ‘gone forever’ in heartbreaking scenes

Tonight’s Emmerdale episode sees April finally open up on some of her experiences when she was missing in a heartbreaking conversation with Marlon.
April talks about how hard it was for her to come back and how, as the days kept passing, it became even harder as time went on. She spoke about how she wanted to tell Marlon she was pregnant, but was convinced that she could keep it a secret after Marlon had lied about what happened to her mother many years ago.
In addition, she talked about the reasons why she ran away, with Leo being a lot of work and Ivy being so young, she felt that Marlon only paid any attention when she was drunk. She also said that she had to be always strong with all the drama in the family.
Marlon asked April if she had been taking drugs, and she said she had. He also tried to find out the father of her baby, which was stillborn, and she refused to reveal it, saying it was just a random guy at a party, but April seemed to shut down more at this question, indicating more may be revealed soon.
She also said that the dead girl which Marlon had had to ID in a previous episode was her friend Becca, who had been stabbed trying to get April’s purse back from a thief.
Marlon insisted that he was not ashamed of her, and wanted her home, but April said she would not go home, because she could not face everyone. She also attacked Marlon, saying that he was happy the baby was gone.
Rhona also met with April, hugging her and saying everything would be alright now, as April’s friend Dylan looked through the window, before leaving. Towards the end, Marlon and Rhona spoke, as Marlon panicked that April might never recover.
He said he was afraid that the April he knew was gone forever.
Meanwhile, Aaron and Ruby spoke about their past abuse, as Aaron opened up about how he used to cope by self-harming. He talked about Ruby’s drinking, and how that was how she seemed to cope.
She also said that while Caleb was supportive, she couldn’t stand how she felt he pitied her.
Aaron left when Caleb arrived, and Ruby was asked about what the pair had been discussing. She told him and he asked if she wanted to talk to him, but she told him that she couldn’t stand the pity and that she had always been strong before.
Caleb told her that he saw her as even stronger now, and the pair embraced.
Emmerdale airs tonight on ITV at 7pm.
