Emmerdale true identity of Ryan’s new girlfriend Shanice ‘revealed’ in shock Dingle DNA twist
Emmerdale fans are convinced that they have already worked out the true identity of Ryan Stock's new love interest Shanice
Emmerdale viewers are speculating about the true identity of Ryan Stock’s new love interest, Shanice.
Ryan, portrayed by James Moore, has been a popular character since his introduction to the soap in 2018. As Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) long-lost son, Ryan has found himself at the centre of numerous village dramas.
He’s been embroiled in several major storylines, including Charity’s court case against Ryan’s malevolent biological father, corrupt police officer Mark Bails (Rocky Marshall).
Fans have also enjoyed Ryan’s relationship with Gail (Rachael Gill-Davis). Their love story began in their youth and as teenagers, they had a child together, who they subsequently gave up for adoption.
Years later, Gail and Ryan rekindled their romance when Gail moved to the village. In an unexpected turn of events, their son Oscar re-entered their lives in 2023, needing a bone marrow transplant, reports Leicestershire Live.
However, last week, Gail left Ryan heartbroken when she announced her departure from the village to start anew in Devon. Since then, Ryan has been trying to move forward with the support of his friend Ross Barton (Mike Parr).
Earlier this week, Ross demonstrated his best flirting techniques while conversing with newcomer Chanice (Georgia Moir,) at the Woolpack pub. Despite securing her number, it was Ryan who Chanice ended up spending the night with.
In Tuesday’s episode (May 14), Ross was taken aback but pleased for Ryan when he spotted Chanice leaving the pub after their night together.
Emmerdale fans are abuzz with speculation about a potential bombshell DNA revelation involving the character Chanice. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, one member sparked curiosity by asking: “Anyone know who this Shanice is?”.
Eager fans quickly took to the comments, theorising that she might be the hidden offspring of the show’s stalwart Zak Dingle (portrayed by Steve Halliwell). The theory gained traction as one fan posited: “Zak’s long-lost daughter.” Another chimed in with a succinct “Probably!” while yet another lamented: “Not another one!”.
Zak Dingle, the patriarch of the Dingle family, has been a cornerstone of Emmerdale since his debut in 1994, and he continued to grace the screen until 2023. The soap world mourned the loss of actor Steve Halliwell, who passed away in December 2023.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
