Emmerdale ‘unveils’ whose grave Cain Dingle visits – and it’s not who you think
Emmerdale fans are convinced they've worked out whose grave Cain Dingle is standing over after spotting a huge clue
Emmerdale fans believe they’ve worked out whose grave Cain Dingle visits, and it’s not who you think.
Last year, the ITV soap aired several flashforwards, giving fans a glimpse at what was to come in the Dales in 2025.
These clips included Mackenzie Boyd frantically running through the woods, as well as Caleb Milligan flatlining on an operating table.
There was also a moment where Cain was seen standing over a freshly dug grave, suggesting that a funeral had just happened. He wore a black suit, and shed a tear at the graveside.
Emmerdale fans are now certain that they’ve figured out the victim, following a tense altercation this week.
During Thursday’s (April 3) hour-long episode, Ella Forster returned to the village to try and get her ex Liam Cavanagh to hear her out. She has recently been accused of orchestrating Chas Dingle’s overdose, though she remains adamant that she’s innocent.
After luring Liam to Mandy’s house, Ella urged her former flame to believe that she had nothing to do with Chas’s collapse last month.
Thinking that Liam was manipulating her, Ella quickly fled the scene and ran into the woods. Liam soon caught up with her, with the pair engaging in a heated discussion.
In the heat of the moment, a distraught Ella then shoved Liam to the ground, causing him to hit his head on a rock.
This isn’t Liam’s first head injury in so many months, as he endured a significant head trauma following the fatal limo crash in February.
Not long after Liam’s showdown with Ella, legions of Emmerdale fans took to social media to share their concern about the GP’s head injury.
“Well after today’s ep, I’m more than convinced that it could be Liam’s grave that Cain is stood at in the flashforward,” one person wrote on a Facebook group.
“I think something happens to Liam after he hit his head the 2nd time,” another added, while a third said: “Crazy that he didn’t go to hospital considering his recent head trauma! You may be right!”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “Wonder why he didn’t go to the hospital? He wiped blood from his nose too which could indicate serious head trauma, skull injury or bleed to the brain.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and is available to stream from 7am on ITVX
