Emmerdale: ‘work out’ Anthony’s next ‘s.i.c.k’ move as they say ‘wouldn’t surprise me’

Anthony Fox has caused a stir ever since he arrived in Emmerdale village last year and fans of the ITV soap are convinced they've "worked out" his next "s.i.c.k" plan

Emmerdale viewers are convinced Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) is lying about his terminal cancer diagnosis with some fans branding the character “calculating” and “evil”.

Fans of the ITV soap know that Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) was se.x.u.a.l.l.y abused when she was a child by her dad Anthony, who recently walked into her life after decades.

Anthony’s arrival in the village has left Ruby on edge, particular because she fears that her abuser could be her daughter Steph Milligan’s (Georgia Jay) biological dad.

Ruby has vowed to get answers once and for all and ordered a DNA testing kit, hoping that such a thing will quell her fears and prove that Caleb Milligan (William Ash) is Steph’s father.

It seems that Anthony could be on borrowed time though, as he shared grim health news with Caleb in recent scenes. In November, he revealed that he had terminal prostrate cancer.

However, fans are not convinced that Anthony is telling the truth. Taking to social media, one fan penned: “I think he’s playing everyone about his cancer, anybody that does that is sick in the head!!”. A second viewer added: “It’s calculating and evil,” A third person replied: “Yes I think he is to cover his tracks everyone is feeling sorry for him, so when it comes out from Ruby what he’s done Caleb won’t believe her.”

A fourth said: “I think he is lying. I don’t think he has cancer at all, horrible man.” A fifth wrote: “Yep lying to work his way back in to the family, no one ahs been to any appointments, creepy man he is certainly playing a very good part as a slime ball.”

Someone else said: “He wouldn’t get cancer news like he said over a phone.” Another typed: “All of a sudden Anthony is at the heart of every place in the village. He makes speeches like he knows everyone He is so creepy. Can’t stand this character.”

Fans will have to wait and see if Ruby gets the DNA results she wants and if Anthony really is battling cancer.
