Emmerdale: ‘work out’ new Home Farm owner after 36 years
Emmerdale fans are convinced that Home Farm is about to get a new owner, who will take the iconic property from Kim Tate
Emmerdale aficionados are buzzing with the theory that Home Farm is on the verge of a new proprietorship and Kim Tate is set to hit the roof.
The iconic Home Farm has been a cornerstone of the soap for years, with Emmerdale royalty like Kim (Claire King), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), and Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) all having called it home.
Tucked half a mile from the village, this plush property features eleven bedrooms, an attached granny flat, and even includes the profitable Home Farm Estate business.
At present, the formidable Kim reigns over the estate, having inherited it after her ex-hubby Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) initially took possession in 1989. With Frank’s passing in 1997, he bequeathed the grand abode to Kim.
Still, viewers have got a hunch that there’s a shake-up afoot, with the residence poised for a brand-new owner, reports Leicestershire Live.
Lately, Kim’s life has been a rollercoaster of emotion. The festive season was marred by tragedy when her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) passed away from a heart attack.
Then, stepping back onto the scene after six years, her step-grandson Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) turned up, bringing chaos with him.
Since his return, Joe has been stirring up trouble left, right, and centre. On top of starting a scandalous affair with Kim’s stepdaughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley), he’s pinched a kidney from his uncle Caleb (William Ash).
Fuelled by the theory that Joe’s ulterior motive involves getting his mitts on the Home Farm crown jewels, fan speculation suggests a different twist – a comeback king is predicted to claim the throne.
A certain sleuth took to an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, declaring: “It won’t be Joe taking Home Farm from Kim, it will be Jamie mark my words.”
A fan speculated: “They could easily be setting up his return so I agree.” Another added: “I’ve said this for months, they need to bring him back.”
Jamie (played by Alex Lincoln), the offspring of Kim and Frank, had his fair share of juicy storylines while on the soap. From epic feuds to steamy affairs, he certainly didn’t lead a dull life in the Dales.
The character was last spotted on-screen in 2021 following a bogus car crash d.e.a.t.h. With his mum Kim duped into thinking he was gone for good, Jamie sneakily retreated to live with his daughter Millie and her grandmother.
