Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh teases ‘juicy’ Nate update after d.e.a.t.h confirmed
The actress shared that she's excited for the audience to see Tracy find out what happened to her ex husband
Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh shared that “it’s al juicy stuff” in upcoming scenes that will deal with Nate Robinson’s untimely end after he was confirmed d.e.a.d in recent weeks.
Amy joined the ITV soap in 2014 to take on the role of Tracy Metcalfe. She first appeared in the village after meeting Sam Dingle on an adult chat line, and after convincing him to let her stay she conned him out of money and left.
She’s been a regular character since returning in 2015, and even had an affair with Caleb Miligan. Her most recent relationship was with Nate Robinson, with the pair sharing a daughter, Frankie.
However, Tracy and Nate split after his affair with Moira Dingle but the pair remained amicable for the sake of Frankie.
Last year, Nate wanted a fresh start and announced he found a new job opportunity in Shetland. Since he left, he’d only been heard from once to say he’d arrived.
During the aftermath of the Valentine’s limo crash, Amy Wyatt was suddenly plunged into the depths of the frozen lake as the ice cracked beneath her.
As she desperately tried to make her way back up to the surface, she spotted a body floating in the water beside her.
Later in the hospital, she tried telling Matty that it was Nate, but he misunderstood her and she then sadly d.i.e.d from a cardiac arrest.
Now that viewers know Nate d.i.e.d, no one else in the village – apart from whoever is responsible – knows of his true state. Recently, Tracy was shocked to find a present for Frankie showed up from Nate, as she informed Cain that he hadn’t replied to her since he left.
As Tracy gets exposed in upcoming episodes for stealing money from Pollard, the reason behind it all is that Nate’s payments to Frankie have stopped and she can’t get into contact with him.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Amy shared: I think it’s gonna be so exciting. I’ve just actually started beginning of that story now where she (Tracy) finds out, and it’s brilliant. I love that the audience know and she doesn’t, and they’re just waiting for this pay off and waiting for her to find out who’s done it.
“It’s been a long time coming, so long, all this feeling that she’s had that he’s (Nate) done badly to her, and finally poor Nate gets his justice.”
She continued: “It’s such a journey for Tracy to take, I’m really excited, we got some new scripts through that I’ve started reading and it’s really juicy stuff for me and I’ve not had anything that big for a while.”It’s partly daunting because you’re working a lot more, which I love, but juggling that with home life can be challenging… It’s fun, it’s my favourite part of the job.”
